These beautiful hand painted blackwood ply earrings are part of our Australiana collection celebrating some iconic animals and plants that make this country special.
These earrings are designed and made by us in our studio and workshop from Blackwood Ply and Sterling Silver and hand painted using non-toxic water-based acrylic paints then they are matte sealed using an Australian made art sealer to make sure they stay this adorable.
Often a design suggests itself when I see the subject in person and 'google' them. These little fellows are no exception, stopping by for a visit and lining up along our fence to show off their beautiful plummage. What stands out and for which they are named is the bright red stripe across both sides of their faces and lots of other beautiful colouring to complete their ensemble.
These feed mostly on insects and seeds. Like the Welcome Swallow, nest building is a shared Mum and Dad activity and they both incubate the eggs and feed the bubs. Awwww.

- Shipping: We aim to ship stocked items within 24-48 hours with Australia Post. Shipping is generally 4-7 business days for local Metro Australian Delivery. If we have to make your item we will let you know straight away.
