'HOW TO' AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS

About the boards...

Your beautiful new board is lovingly handcrafted from Australian hardwood, Australian made plant based bio resin and finished with Australian beeswax.

Caring for your board...

  • To clean it use a soft damp cloth with mild soap

  • Don’t submerge in water, put in the dishwasher or use scourers or harsh soaps as these will damage and dry out your board

  • If it does start to look dry or dull rub a small amount of wood and leather care beeswax over both sides and edges using a clean soft cloth, leave for a few minutes then buff it off with a different clean soft cloth.  Keep the cloths to use next time.

About the Mats...

These great waterproof pet feeding mats will last for years if you take care of them which is super simple !

Caring for your mat...

  • You can clean them with any sort of mild cleaning sprays or soap and warm water.  Just wipe them with a cloth (not a scourer) and take care around the edges as you want these to remain sealed to keep your cute mats waterproof.

About the masks...

These lightweight, comfortable, portable eye masks are made from natural fabrics.

Caring for your mask...

  • Handwash your mask in warm soapy water.  We use a wool wash when we wash them as this is gentle and gives them a nice eucalyptus fragrance but any mild detergent or soap will work fine.

  • Ajr dry them (not suitable for a tumble dryer)

About the Lamps...

The Wally and Eva Cylinder Table Lamps have been handmade using traditional techniques, natural cotton and linen new and vintage fabrics and the bases handcrafted from Australian Tallowwood.

Caring for your lamp...

  • We recommend using a vacuum cleaner or sticker roller (you know that ones you use for fluff, dust, fur etc) to keep your lamp free from dust.

  • For the base, if does start to look dry or dull rub a small amount of wood and leather care beeswax into the top, sides and base using a clean soft cloth, leave for a few minutes then buff it off with a different clean soft cloth.  Keep the cloths to use next time and you can also use them on your foraging cheese board.

About the press...

The Wally and Eva Flower Press is made from sustainable bamboo, solid brass screws and wing nuts and recycled cardboard and paper.

How to use your flower press...

Pick some flowers and leaves

  • You want them to have the least moisture so pick them in the warm part of the day

  • Try to avoid thick flowers and stems like roses as they won’t flatten well

  • You can always just use the petals of larger flowers

Arrange your picks

  • Trim and arrange your flowers and leaves so that they are not overlapping between the 2 sheets of paper inside each set of cardboard sheets

  • Fill up all the spaces with your blooms

Assemble your press

  • Put your press back together and tighten the wing nuts (don’t overtighten as this will put strain on the corners)

Play the waiting game

  • Store your press in a cool dry place for at least 2-4 weeks (we use the linen cubboard).  If they aren’t fully dry leave them a little longer.  You will need to check and tighten the wing nuts during this period as the flowers and leaves dry and flatten (we check ours every week for tightening).

Make stuff

  • You can create so many things with your pressed flowers including artwork, cards, decoupage – the only limit is your imagination !
